Vieille Vielle (Old Town)
This interesting town is packed with beautiful sights such as beautiful fountains, cobblestone paths, gardens, and a lot of activities to do like going to the beach, dining in cafes, etc.
Being a naval base, boats and yachts are not an uncommon sight. You can take rides to reach beaches like Les Sablettes and La Seyne-sur-Mer. When you visit the port during May to October, you can visit Porquerolles Island.
Riding the Télephérique du Faron or the cable car is a popular mode of transport as it comes with an amazing view that features the mountains, the sea, and the coastline.
Musee Memorial du Debarquement (Allied Landings Museum)
The museum devoted to the August 1945 landing of the Allied Forces is located atop of Mont Faron with a breathtaking view and houses various artifacts for educational viewing.
Opera de Toulon
Known for being one of the largest opera houses outside of Paris, tourists can watch performances of many types in it. The neoclassical structure was designed by Charles Garnier.
Musee de la Marine (Naval Museum)
As Toulon being a naval base, it is no surprise that Musee de la Marine holds the town’s rich history with its collections.

Buy local produce from various markets offered in the city. All markets sell during Tuesdays to Sundays, different starting times depending on the market up to 12:30PM.
The Romanesque cathedral with Neoclassical and Baroque characteristics is located at 55 Place de la Cathédrale, Toulon. A historical monument standing since the 11th century.
Festival de Musique
The festival shows various classical performances at various venues throughout the town, usually in historical buildings. The festival has been running ever since 1951.
